Terms of service

Aqta Technologies Limited provides Seal, a cryptographic attestation gateway, including but not limited to:

• Checking of AI decisions before actions execute, with a signed record for each outcome
• Runtime policy enforcement, runaway agent detection, and budget controls
• Hash-chained audit trails and PDF exports mapped to EU AI Act Articles 9-15
• Receipts checkable by a third party offline, against Aqta's published Ed25519 key (ATTESTATION-v1)
• Cost tracking and optimisation
• Multi-provider AI routing (OpenAI-compatible)

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Being at least 18 and able to enter into a contract, or using the Service on behalf of an organisation that has agreed to these terms
• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• Keeping your account credentials secure and not sharing them
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use
• Providing accurate and complete information

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Use the platform unlawfully or for illegal purposes
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Transmit harmful, offensive or illegal content
• Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service's operation

The Service passes the content of your requests to the AI providers you choose and does not store it. It keeps signed records, operational metadata and the other items set out in our Privacy Policy. Signed records are not deleted automatically, and their hashes in Seal's public transparency log cannot be removed; the log holds hashes only, never content.

Aqta is not sold self-serve. Access is granted under a written pilot or licence agreement, and the scope, fees, term and usage limits that apply to you are set out in that agreement. Where that agreement and these terms conflict, your agreement governs.

• Fees are non-refundable except as set out in your agreement, as required by law, or at our discretion
• Failure to pay may result in service suspension

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aqta shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly.

We may suspend access at once to protect the Service or other customers. Otherwise, termination follows the notice terms in your agreement. Receipts already issued stay checkable offline against the published key.

We may modify these Terms. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page, and where your agreement requires notice of a change we give it as your agreement sets out.

The Service, including the Seal cryptographic attestation protocol, is the proprietary technology of Aqta Technologies Limited. Aqta Technologies Limited retains all rights, title, and interest in and to the Service. The receipt specifications (ATTESTATION-v1 and ACTION-v1) and the reference verifiers are published under their own open licences, Apache-2.0 for the code and CC BY 4.0 for the specification text, and those licences govern their use.

Your use of the Service does not grant you any ownership rights to our technology. All audit logs and attestation records generated for your account remain your data. Aqta claims no ownership over your AI request metadata or outputs.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction.
